Drake Announces New Album After Dropping His First Poetry Book
Drake plans to serve up another album before he hits the road for his upcoming tour.
On Saturday, June 24, Drake released his first-ever poetry book Titles Ruin Everything with Kenza Samir. Following the book's release, the "Search & Rescue" artist took out ads in several major newspapers across the country. In the full-page ads, the Canadian native included a QR code that leads to a website that shows the announcement of his next LP For All The Dogs.
"I made an album to go with the book," the announcement reads. "They say they miss the old Drake girl don't tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS."
The announcement didn't come with a release date for the album, but fans are hype for it regardless. It serves as the follow-up to his previous solo album Honestly, Nevermind and his collaborative effort with 21 Savage Her Loss. Meanwhile, his poetry book with Samir has been in the works for quite some time. Drake opened up about his intentions to release the book and another edition of his Scary Hours EP series during an episode of his radio show last year.
"Me and Kenza have a book coming out this year," he explained. We have a book coming out this year, a poetry book. So I hope you guys tune into that too ‘cause that’s gonna be some shit. I got another Scary Hours pack coming too, in a little bit. Maybe not right now; I need you to just take this in right now. But I have a Scary Hours—I’m gonna slap some head tops off with the Scary Hours pack. I love this s**t.”
Look out for new music from Drake coming soon.

Jim Jones Speaks On Pusha T's Diss From New Clipse Track: 'It Was Cute'
Jim Jones isn't impressed by Pusha T's new verse.
On Thursday, June 22, the Diplomats rapper posted a video in which he reacts to the lyrics that the Virginia native aimed at him in an unreleased verse that debuted at Pharrell's Louis Vuitton fashion show. Capo didn't seem to be fazed by the bars from the new Clipse record. He also doesn't think the verse will convince him to add Push to his list of Top 50 rap artists.
“Lol [that] verse did not make [the] list champ it was cute," Jim wrote in the caption of his post.

“That was not a Top 50 verse,” Jones said in his video. “Not at all. Still not in my Top 50.”
Jones initially laughed at Push's verse after it appeared in a new song from Clipse. The song played while both Pusha T and his brother No Malice walked the runway at Pharrell's first-ever fashion show in Paris since he became Louis Vuitton's Menswear Creative Director. Push used the verse to respond to Jones, who questioned his status as one of Billboard's Top 50 rappers.
“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate/You know I know where you’re delicate," Push raps on the record. "Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it, I will close your heaven for the hell of it/You think it’d be valor amongst veterans, I’m watching your fame escape relevance/We all in a room but here’s the elephant, You chasing a feature out of your element.”
Jones has not formally responded on wax just yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Juice WRLD & Cordae Channel Eminem On Fresh Posthumous Collaboration
Cordae finally got a chance to bring his posthumous collaboration with Juice WRLD to life.
On Friday, June 23, Cordae and Juice WRLD's new song "Doomsday" hit streaming services everywhere. The song allows the North Carolina native and Juice to trade bars back-and-forth to the tune of Eminem's "Role Model" produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man off Em's 1999 album The Slim Shady LP. In the music video directed by Lyrical Lemonade's Cole Bennett, a deep-fake version of a young Eminem pops out from a yellow curtain to kick things off. Then Cordae comes through to rap his bars and morph into the late Chicago rapper like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

“Bring the house down on you h*es, Queen Latifah/I’m too fast, gettin’ this cash," Juice raps. "Get in the way, get your brain bashed/Chopper gon’ smash, hittin’ your face."
“I’ma tie up, just like a shoe, my flow laced," Cordae continues. "Y’all n***as so fake, wash your face in my showcase/Fresher than Colgate, make hoes wait, I hold weight.”
At the end of the video, you can see Juice and Cordae in the studio talking about the initial idea for the music video. With Ski Mask The Slump God and DJ Scheme in the background, the "Lucid Dreams" rapper lays out his blueprint while an animation attempts to bring his early idea to life. The final version of the video doesn't seem too far off from Juice's plan.

Young Thug Drops New Album With Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert & More
Young Thug came through as promised with his brand-new LP.
On Friday, June 23, Thugger released his third studio album Business Is Business via 300 Ent/Atlantic Records. His follow-up to his 2021 album Punk contains 15 fresh tracks including collaborations with Drake, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Yak Gotti, Bslime, Lil Gotit and Nate Ruess. Executively produced by Metro Boomin, the project also features production from Wheezy, Aviator Keyyz and more. Drake, who helps open the LP with "Parade on Cleveland," posted one of his bars from the record right before the album dropped following a week-long countdown.
"you owe me this time…midnight @thuggerthugger1," Drake wrote in the caption. The post prompted a quick response from Thug, who wrote, "U will be paid."
Business Is Business serves as the first official record Thug has released since he got locked up. There's a point in the middle of "Parade on Cleveland" where Thug calls in from jail and spits a bar or two as he segues into his crispy second verse. Outside of that, there's no indication of when Young Thug recorded his verses. Based on the quality, he most likely recorded them before he got indicted in connection to the YSL RICO case in Georgia. Prior to his new project, fans had only received collaborations with Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris and Yeat.
Thugger doesn't hint at anything regarding his charges or the case overall. However, one bar in particular has fans convinced that he shared his thoughts on Gunna amid all the snitching allegations.
"N***a told and he was my homiе, I can't miss him/Ain't nobody feel him," Thug raps on "Jonesboro."
